Baked Kebab ( dam ke Kebab)

This is a dish I learnt from my mother and is much quicker to make than individual kebabs. As the kebabs are baked it is also makes it a healthier option. 


Ingredients

450g (1lb) lean lamb mince
1tsp ginger paste
1tsp garlic paste
2 green chillies 
1 onion
1/2 bunch of fresh coriander
2tsp garam masala
1 tsp red chilli
salt to taste
150ml (1/4) pint natural yoghurt
Juice of 1 lemon
2 eggs

Fry the onion and remove from the oil and drain off any excess oil. 
Then in a food processor add the fresh coriander, green chillies, salt, red chilli, garam masala, ginger& garlic and blend. Now add the yoghurt and blend finally add the onion and blend for a few seconds.

Mix the blended ingredients into the mince and add the lemon juice. Beat both the eggs and mix into the mince. Put the mixture into an oven proof dish.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake the kebabs for 40 to 50 minutes.
Slice the kebabs into squares and serve. This dish is an excellent accompaniment to  a meal.
